The greatest Italian comic icon reshaped by the Spanish Masters.
The ¡Hola, Tex! Exhibition makes its debut in the outstanding setting of Palazzo Guinigi, in Lucca. An incredible display rich in works with more than one hundred panels dedicated to the Spanish point of view on the ranger myth. This artistic voyage has at its core four Spanish Masters: Alfonso Font, Enrique Breccia, Carlos Gomez and Horacio Altuna, whose original panels, on the new TEXONE, are going to be displayed, for the first time ever, thanks to Sergio Bonelli. These four authors will take their fans to a guided tours towards the discovery of their artistic traits, work processes and their unique storytelling skills. The exhibition retraces, in a chronological order, these artists stories, which have deeply influenced their works on Tex, displaying an uncountable number of panels, each one with its original narrative style, creating together a perfect setting for Aquila della Notte (Night’s Eagle). The exhibition starts with Jesús Blasco (who debuted in 1985 working in the regular series), and continues with other artists, such as Víctor de La Fuente, José Ortiz, Manfred Sommer, Jordy Bernet, Miguel Ángel Repetto, Ernesto García Seijas, Ángel “Lito” Fernández and Orestes Suárez. Furthermore, the event includes a deep dive into Antonio Segura’s works, a Spanish screenwriter, who has staged some Tex stories. An art-based journay, made of unique styles and worlds, from Spain to Latin America, that made Tex a classic and widespread work of art.
