Marco Gervasio

Guest - Marco Gervasio

Graduated in Economics and Commerce, Marco Gervasio began attending the Scuola Romana dei Fumetti in 1996, where he currently teaches. From that moment on, he started collaborating with Disney as an illustrator, writer, and cover artist for Topolino and other publications.
In 2012, he created both the script and artwork for the ongoing series Le strabilianti imprese di Fantomius, ladro gentiluomo (The Dazzling Exploits of Fantomius, Gentleman Thief). Since 2013, Gervasio has also worked with Rovio Entertainment, writing stories for Angry Birds Comics. In 2015, he began collaborating with IDW Publishing as a cover artist for the U.S. editions of Disney comics.
In 2017, he received the Melhor Banda Desenhada and Melhor Desenho awards in Portugal. At the XXIV edition of Romics (2018), he was honored with the prestigious Romics d’Oro.
Since 2019, he has been writing stories for Paperinik, and in 2020 he launched the new series Paperbridge, a “duck teen drama” for which he handles both writing and illustration. In 2021, his sci-fi series La Ciurma del Sole Nero (The Crew of the Black Sun) debuted in Topolino, followed in 2023 by the theatrical comedy Paperugantino.

The author will be attending Lucca Comics & Games from Friday, October 31st to Sunday, November 2nd.
