John Romita Jr. is one of the most important and prolific American cartoonists, famous for his energetic, remarkable, and recognizable trait. Son of the greatest John Romita Sr., the hand behind the Spider-man stories in the 60s, Romita Jr. was able to establish his own unique style, captivating generations of readers, and marking the history of superhero comics permanently. His career started in the 70s at Marvel, where he started writing for minor publishing houses. Then, in the 80s, his fame skyrocketed thanks to his long and applauded The Amazing Spider-Man run, bringing brand new stories, such as the Hobgoblin saga and the first appearance of Madame Web. Simultaneously, he drew Ucanny X-Men alongside with Chris Claremont, taking part in one of the most appreciated narrative cycles. 

The collaboration with Frank Miller for Daredevil: Man Without Fear is a fundamental milestone of his career as well. Furthermore, Romita Jr. participated to the creation of Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, The Punisher as well as to other Marvel heroes, becoming one of the most versatile and demanded artists. In the naughties, he established himself as a creator of original works, for instance Kick-ass, born as a result of his partnership with Frank Millar . This series was a worldwide success, what led to two cinematographic adaptations. 

His collaboration with DC Comics allowed him to be the main artist for Superman and Batman, always providing high quality and narrative levels. Despite his several projects and his long-lasting career, Romita Jr. is the cornerstone of the Marvel stories, coming back periodically to illustrate Spider-Man, the character that represents his link to American Comics. Moreover, he is recognized as an absolute master, who is capable of renewing himself and influencing entire generations of artists. 

John Romita Jr. will e present at Lucca Comics & Games, from October 29th to November 2nd in collaboration with Mirage Comics, hosting meet&greet, events and the preview of an important editorial news.
