John Romita Jr. is one of the most important and prolific American cartoonists, famous for his energetic, remarkable, and recognizable trait. Son of the greatest John Romita Sr., the hand behind the Spider-man stories in the 60s, Romita Jr. was able to establish his own unique style, captivating generations of readers, and marking the history of superhero comics permanently. His career started in the 70s at Marvel, where he started writing for minor publishing houses. Then, in the 80s, his fame skyrocketed thanks to his long and applauded The Amazing Spider-Man run, bringing brand new stories, such as the Hobgoblin saga and the first appearance of Madame Web. Simultaneously, he drew Ucanny X-Men alongside with Chris Claremont, taking part in one of the most appreciated narrative cycles.
The collaboration with Frank Miller for Daredevil: Man Without Fear is a fundamental milestone of his career as well. Furthermore, Romita Jr. participated to the creation of Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, The Punisher as well as to other Marvel heroes, becoming one of the most versatile and demanded artists.
