Free Mobility Card: How does it work?

Image of Free Mobility Card: How does it work?

Lucca Comics & Games together with Luccasenzabarriere have designed the Free Mobility Card, fostering a more accessible festival. This brand-new item improves the priority entry for people with disabilities and pregnant women, always caring about their privacy.

We want to guarantee always a more accessible, inclusive and safer experience, in compliance with the five principles (inclusion, respect, gratitude, discovery and community), which have always been the cornerstones of Lucca Comics & Games. Furthermore, Luccasenzabarriere volunteers will assist people with disabilities in their festival experience. The festival thanks Ortopedia Michelotti, which provided their equipment to make the festival more accessible.

FREE MOBILITY CARD: What is it and how does it work

It is a nominal card (can’t be given to others), which have to be showed to the entrance as an only identification method for people who can enjoy priority entry (people with documented disabilities and women showing an evident pregnancy). The card allows these people to be recognised at the pavilions entrances. It has to be showed together with the bracelet, that has to be always worn. By doing so, they do not have to show always the proper documentation or certificate that attest their disabilities. The security personnel will ask for an ID to check the identity of the FMC holder.

How can i obtain the Free Mobility Card?

If you didn’t collect your regular or season ticket yet, the Free Mobility Card (showing the full name of the owner, can’t be given) will be provided together with the other items at the Lucca Comics & Games cashier’s desk.

If you already received your regular or season ticket with the “Skip the welcome desks” method (so you already receive your ticket and bracelet at home), you can collect your Free Mobility Card by yourself (it is not compulsory) at any festival Welcome Desks (with a priority lane set up for people with disabilities and pregnant women) at Luccasenzabarriere selling point in Piazza San Martino and at the Croce Verde headquarters at Viale Castruccio Castrani, 468/d.

If you already own a regular and season ticket with the “Stampa@Casa” (Print@Home), once you go at the festival Welcome Desks to collect the bracelet, you can pick up the Free Mobility Card as well. You can go to any festival Welcome Desks (with a priority lane set up for people with disabilities and pregnant women), at Luccasenzabarriere selling point in Piazza San Martino at the Croce Verde headquarters at vials Castruccio Castrani, 468/d

Beside the Free Mobility Card, visitors can also collect a gadget dedicated to them (until stock lasts)!

Tickets

People with disabilities can enjoy a free entry, regardless of the percentage or type of disability (showing the proper documentation). The companion (only 1) can obtain “discounted companion” ticket. However, the holder of a FMC can be assisted by a group of 4 companions, holders of regular tickets and bracelets, in the pavilions.

Parking lots

To guarantee a proper and effective welcome and accessibility to the festival, specific parking lots have been assigned to people with disabilities, thanks to Lucca Plus
Parking lots: Parcheggio Mazzini (70 spots); Polo Fiere (30 spots); Parcheggio Palatucci (20 spots).

Lucca Plus personnel will monitor the spot availability of the aforementioned parking lots, as well as to allow only the people showing the proper voucher, given to the people with disabilities, to enter the parking lot, until the maximum capacity of each area is reached.
